The Second Annual Lighten Up 4 Life Competition

More than 350 people and 40 vendors attended the Mission Hospital October 5th rally to kick off the Second Annual Lighten Up 4 Life weight loss competition. If you weren't able to get in on the fun of the 2008 business competition, another opportunity is coming and it's not just open to businesses! Anyone in the community can register, as long as it is a team.
Over 3,000 participants and 200 businesses competed last year to lose more than 20,124.4 pounds. "Mission Health System was so pleased with last year's participation from the business community, in the first Lighten Up 4 Life competition," says Becky Brown, marketing manager at Mission Hospital. "We are looking forward to the 2009 competition and in helping more people in our community lose weight, improve their health and make Asheville the Healthiest Community in America!"
