The Arterial Blood Gas Labs were one of the first in the country to be Bi-directionally interfaced and networked to the hospital information system for simplified billing and access to patient records. The Labs are accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) which are responsible for accrediting labs worldwide.
Mission Hospitals' Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) Lab provides a dedicated, skilled arterial blood gas staff that are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This service offers quick ABG turnaround and reliable point of care service to our patients.
The therapists, physicians and staff have confidence in the quality assurance and technical support provided by our blood gas staff. In 2004 the lab was referred to as a model site by the College of American Pathologists and passed CAP inspection with high marks and no deficiencies.
