A Boutique for Breast Cancer Survivors
The Breast Program at Mission Hospital offers a special place called In Good Company, a boutique for cancer survivors. Located at 534 Biltmore Avenue on the second floor, the store specializes in products for women who have breast cancer, as well as women experiencing hair loss from their cancer treatments.
We offer:
- Expert, individualized breast prosthesis fittings and a full selection of mastectomy bras in sizes 32AA to 46DDD.
- Beautiful swimsuits, tank tops and nightgowns with insert panels for prostheses.
- Hats and scarves chosen specifically for women experiencing hair loss.
- Cards and jewelry for breast cancer survivors and their supporters.
- Pink ribbon car magnets.
Just as important, our staff offers emotional support to women during this time in their lives. While browsing in our shop, you will have a chance to speak with experienced Breast Program staff. You will find a private, supportive and comfortable environment, where you can express your concerns and learn how to cope with hair loss, treatment side effects or with helping a loved one deal with your illness. This is a place where you can laugh and cry, and know that you're not alone - all important steps in the healing process.
The In Good Company boutique is generally open Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but please call before you go to make sure someone will be there. Call 828-213-9990.
