MAMA-1 is an American Eurocopter EC-135 P1. This helicopter was purchased in 2001. The EC-135 has an approximate airspeed of 150 miles per hour. In addition to a pilot, nurse and paramedic, MAMA-1 is capable of transporting two patients per flight. This aircraft is equipped with night vision technology and is Single Pilot Instrument Flight Rules (SPIFR) certified. MAMA-1 is based in Asheville, NC and bears the tail number N135N.

MAMA-2 is an American Eurocopter BK-117 B1. This aircraft replaced the BO-105 which had been in service at Mission since the late 1980s. The BK-117 has an approximate airspeed of 150 miles per hour. Like MAMA-1, MAMA-2 is capable of transporting a pilot, nurse, paramedic, and two patients per flight. This aircraft is equipped with night vision technology and is Single Pilot Visual Flight Rules (SPVFR) certified. MAMA-2 is based in Franklin, NC and bears the tail number N117J.
