Dale Fell, MD is Mission's Chief Medical Officer and Senior Vice President of Medical Affairs.
Dr. Fell is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who has had a variety of leadership positions including chairman of the Department of Surgery at Lee Memorial Hospital in Ft. Myers, Florida; chair of the Surgery Service Line at Mission Hospital; former director of the Hyperbaric Medicine Center at Mission Hospital; and twice elected president of the 800-member Buncombe County Medical Society.
Dr. Fell received his undergraduate degree at Vanderbilt University; attended graduate school at the University of Louisville; received his medical degree at the University of Kentucky; and completed his residency training in General Surgery and Plastic Surgery at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. He completed a Fellowship in Hand Surgery and received additional training in Hyperbaric Medicine.
In his role, Dr. Fell represents Mission's medical staff with senior leadership and is responsible for Fullerton Genetics Center, Fullerton Genetics Laboratory, Integrated Healthcare, Medical Education, Medical Staff Services, Research Institute, and Senior Services.
