Role Summary:
Performs critical life support patient care, advanced airway management and transport management. Assumes responsibility for the operation and maintenance of emergency vehicles.
Required Education: EMS Certificate with Community College or Associate of Science in EMS. Must complete and maintain continuing education or re-certification class as required by NC OEMS.
Preferred Education: Bachelors in EMS
Required License: North Carolina EMT-P certification. North Carolina drivers license and must meet insurance guidelines, must obtain BTLS or PHTLS, ACLS and PALS within on year after employment.
Preferred License: National Registry
Required Experience: None
Preferred Experience: One year of full time active pre-hospital care.
