An important aspect of Mission Children's Hospital's work is caring for kids with cancer. The outlook for these patients is getting better every year, provided they receive the treatment proven to be most effective for their particular illness.
Our program is linked to the latest research findings through our membership in the national Children's Oncology Group. Through its protocols, we provide the national standard of care fo cancer treatment in a setting close to home. We provide research-based care and follow-up throughout the patient's lifetime.
We treat patients for a variety of cancers including:
- Brain tumors
- Ewing's sarcoma
- Hepatoblastoma
- Leukemia
- Rhabdomyosarcoma
- Solid tmors such as lymphoma
- Wilms' tumor
